In 1965, a group of Twin City business professionals opened Four Seasons as a non-profit association. At the time, Four Seasons was only open to the employees of Twin City businesses and their families – 3,200 families joined in the first year. The original location held an ice rink and pool; it later transitioned to several pools, basketball courts, aerobic studios, cardio and weight rooms, and more. The second facility was established in 2001; both buildings were renovated and expanded in Project Trans4mation in addition to the PIT in 2013. Four Seasons is now open to the public while still giving businesses a discounted rate, and memberships have increased to 21,000 in 2015. Families, fitness and fun have been a constant theme of Four Seasons and today we celebrate the 50th year!
Here is a look into all we’ve done to celebrate our 50th year:
50th Anniversary
Today, December 21, 2015 we celebrate 50 phenomenal years in Bloomington.
To celebrate, we are handing out 50th anniversary blender bottles and magnets
every hour randomly to members – just a little thank you for being part of our
50 years!
Fitness Flashback Party – The 50th Anniversary Event
We invited all community members to join us in our 50th anniversary celebration for a
Fitness Flashback Party with roller skating, glow sticks, dancing, games and so much more.
We had hundreds come through the door and many won awesome giveaways like our
trip to Florida on Suzi Davis Travel!
50th Anniversary Stories
We are proud to have such positive impacts on so many members lives, this was
an opportunity to share our members’ stories with family and friends. Thanks to
Dewey On Point for interviewing and filming our stories!
50th Anniversary Interviews
We got to interview some of the most influential leaders in the community who
have been a part of Four Seasons for many years. These interviews got pieced
together and added to our commercial!
“Forming 50” The Commercial Filming Event
Our “Forming 50” event kicked off our 50th anniversary celebration bringing
employees and members together for food and fun in the sun. Everyone got to
be part of our giant “50” which showed up in the commercial, on the website
and on billboards all over town!
