October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease. While most people are aware of breast cancer, many forget to take the steps to have a plan to detect the disease in its early stages and encourage others to do the same. We have made a lot of progress but still have a long way to go and need your help!

Here is a list of ways you can help fight breast cancer:
Donate: $100 helps provide a mammogram for a woman in need. https://www.nationalbreastcancer.org/breast-cancer-donations
Fundraise: Get involved with friends and family to start or join a fundraiser.
Partner: Partner with a nationally recognized charity.
Volunteer: Spread the message of early detection as an Advocate for Hope by encouraging friends to do so, as well.
Create a Plan: Create an Early Detection Plan and invite others to do the same.

Halloween Dance-A-Thon event: Donate $10 at the door to participate
Four Seasons is excited to be partnering with The Community Cancer Center again this October by putting on a Halloween Dance-A-Thon event Friday, October 21st from 6-7:30 p.m. at Four Seasons I in Bloomington, IL. Our goal is to increase awareness about cancer during National Breast Cancer Awareness month. We are also increasing awareness about The Community Cancer Center and how this organization benefits our community. We are excited that all of the money raised will stay locally and help our family, friends and neighbors. This event is for members and non-members. Childcare is available from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
All children must be per-registered to attend. Please visit the Childcare room at FSI to sign up

All proceeds will go to the Foundation and are used for the sole benefit of the Community Cancer Center and the community they serve. Some examples of the Foundations funding initiatives are:

  • Expansion of the facility to better serve patients and accommodate new technology.
  • Supportive care services including those of the Oncology social worker, dietician, Breast Health Navigator, and Chaplain for patients and family members.
  • Education for patients, community and health care professionals
  • Nobody is ever turned away regardless of their ability to pay.
